Creation Care Initiatives
We have a dedicated "Creation Care Task Force". This team is making a concerted effort to find new ways to recycle, reuse and repurpose. We encourage both our church family and community members to participate. Stay tuned for more innovations and events as we commit to our charge of caring for God's earth.
We Compost Hub
We are now a community HUB for "We Compost"!! We are excited to provide this opportunity to our congregation AND the community to follow through with our commitment to being more green and caring for the earth. Our We Compost bins are located in our back parking lot, near the east parking lot median and fire hydrant.
Summer Produce Recipes
The Creation Care Task Force is sponsoring a collection of recipes which will feature the following garden crops: acorn squash, basil, cabbage, carrots, celery, corn, onions, parsley, red peppers, spinach, cherry tomatoes, Roma tomatoes, zucchini.
Fall Produce Pumpkin Recipes
Pumpkin can be used for more than Halloween decorations and pies for Thanksgiving. Thus, during October and November, the Creation Care Task Force is sponsoring three nourishing fall recipes that include pumpkin.
Recycle your pumpkins!
Remember, you can recycle your Halloween pumpkins in the We Compost bins, if they are free of paint, candle wax, and other non‑compostable materials.
